1. Softwares Developed In-House

A. Biodiversity Search Software:
Biodiversity software has MS-Access as back-end and Visual Basic as Front-end. It has options for selecting from various categories: Plants, Amphibians, Fishes, Fungi, Aves, Insects, Mammals and Reptiles. Depending upon the category selected the software has a facility for viewing/modifying the already existing entries or adding a new one. After the scientific name is entered/selected for a particular organism, its classification details are displayed along with its pictures. User can generate a report for a particular organism for printing purpose.

B. Search Software for Helminth Parasite Spectrum of North-East :
Full information is in the web page format, part of which is entered in the MS-Access database so as to make it searchable. This software uses Visual Basic as Front-end and prompts user to choose basis of parasite selection (Family, Class, Order...). Depending upon the choice made, related web file names are listed which can be opened in web browser by clicking for viewing the full details.
